    Questions on bench press negatives

    Hi,

I'm going to try some bench press negatives on my next chest workout. I'm stuck on a plateau and I'm looking to "shock" my body. I've never done these before, so I have a few questions.

Do I have to do these after a normal workout, or just after a small warmup?
How heavy should I load the bar? (like 110% of my 1rm?)

    Thanks for your attention

umm... when i try to get my bench up ill do my reqular bench workout that consists mostly of 5x5, 3x3, and 54321, then after that ill put lighter weight on and do higher reps like 15 reps are 10 reps.

    - It will also make your pecs look ****ing huge when your done!

Hmmm negatives, eh? Make sure that you have a good spotter. Technically your eccentric (negative) strength is supposed to be ~150% of your concentric strength. Remember though that you have to take into consideration how many repetitions you are going to do.
Just do it after a small warmup, not at the end of a workout.
Let us know how it goes.
