    Decline Presses, Yay or Nay?

I used them when I 1st started, but soon came to realize they weren't needed. I feel flat bench & incline work the chest good enough, and weighted dips can help out chest development too, so why bother?

I don't know what the big deal is with decline and incline. Flat bench works fine for me.

I do incline, decline, & flat. Variety is good...not just for your muscles, but also to keep your workout exciting.

Besides, the decline bench is usually the most available one at the Y!

Lifting all these years has turned into a love hate relationship. Currently I hate chest, and love my bis. If I hate I wont do alot of things. I get bored easily to doing things that dont interest me

Yay. Most of the people who don't like them have never done them RIGHT. Best chest exercise I've ever used.

I've done 'em in the past, doing chest dips instead right now. I'll probably do 'em again someday.

By the time I finish my raw flat bench, board presses or rack presses, and/or dips, I'd have nothing left for decline. Unnecessary in my opinion.

there's nothing wrong with doing decline for a period of time. Switching up your routine is absolutely necessary and if for a rotation you want to add it in by all means go for it. I, however, find that decline works my arms more than my chest; which for some people might not be a bad thing.
