Today's CF Workout is:
1 mile Run
1 mile Run
The only way for me to stay near my pullup bar (which is in my garage) is to stay on my street. And I can't run on my street because it's like 4 or 5 houses in length.
Would intense jump roping for a certain amount of time...say, 3-4 minutes be an okay substitute for the "1 mile run?" This might result in a shorter completion time, but I'm really just interested in the GPP benefits at this point.

I don't know the proper subs for running (since I don't run), but I always row. I guess you could guestimate your 1 mile run time and then skip for that long.
And fix, don't be scared to scale this one back.
lol I was planning on scaling it back to half of what it is now.
Do you think that would be okay?
take however long it takes you to run a 1/2 mile and jump rope for that long. that's what i've done in the past.
if you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough
I was gonna do the pullups/pushups/squats "Cindy style" where they're all broken up and alternate each exercise.Originally Posted by MixmasterNash
You could run up/down the street 10 times or something, whatever adds up to the distance you are shooting for. Jumping rope would be a decent sub though. Good luck with this one!

Thanks, I eventually just ran up and down my street. At first I didn't want to though because there were people loading stuff into a moving truck and it was in the way.
Makes you wonder.. why doesn't Crossfit use jump roping more often?
Double unders pop up in the WOD now and then, but not as much as the 400m run. And double unders suck!
lol. sounds brutal
