Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thnx Man Well mil presses have gone right down! lol.I think my shoulders were still asleep!

    Wednesday 21st June 2006

    Shoulder/Forearm Day

    Shoulders

    Military Presses

    123 x 5 (WTF!!?)
    128 x 4 (WTF?)
    132 x 2
    132 x 1
    132 x 1
*cries* Well pissed off to say the least! lol.

    Barbell Front raises

    53 x 6
    53 x 6
    44 x 6

    Dumbell Raises

    70's x 6
    70's x 6
    70's x 6

A little too heavy. managable, but not a full rom.

    Dumbell Shrugs

    100's x 8
    100's x 8
    100's x 8
    100's x 8

*im very pleased with the shrugs! With good form also

    Forearm stuff

    *Leverage work*

    Barbell grip twist

Got my barbell (22lbs) and gripped it one handed in the middle. Twisted it one way til i felt like my wrist bone would snap off, then twisted it back. Really works the forearms tremendously. And also the biceps.

    Bar x 20 (each hand)
    Bar x 20 (each hand)
    Bar + 5kg plate each side. Totalling 32lbs x 6 (each hand)

The last set was torture! lol. I felt like my wrists would snap and my forearms and biceps would pop
    Great exercise!

    Barbell vertical grip and pull

*Using the weight I put on the barbell for grip twists, i did these also. What u do is put the barbell vertical, grip the bar at just above waist height. grip real tight, and pull up, trying to lift the barbell from the floor. Once the barbell is lifted, lower and do it again! Seriousley works forearms, and again, also works biceps.

    33lbs x 6 (both hands)
    33lbs x 6 (both hands)
    42lbs x 6 (both hands)
    46lbs x 4 right and 2 left.

    Reverse barbell Curls

*no movement of wrists at all*

    44 x 8
    53 x 6
    53 x 5 (wow burnt!)

Static barbel holds (In midway Reverse curl position)

    53lbs x 10 seconds
    53lbs x 10 seconds
    53lbs x 10 seconds (arrrghhh!)

    Grop holds with hand grips

Dont know what resistance these are. There just sports shop hand grips. Probs 40-50lbs resistance? neverthless, these strict holds are murder!

    x 20 seconds
    x 20 seconds
    x 20 seconds

and to finish off one last set of reverse curls!

    53 x 4

All in all. loved the forearm workout! pissed about the mil presses and also very pleased with the db shrugs!

    Bring on back/Leg day again!

Geez, Goodwinn, solid rows, once again. Someone get this kid a squat rack already!

EDIT: Gimme some tips on getting the rows to go up, got anything magical that I'm not doing already? Mine are stagnating in the 120x5 range.

McIrish - Cheers dude! *cries* I need a squat rack *end cries* Hmm maybe have a look through my journal, see what changes i made for my rows to go from 172 x 1 to 220 x 4. Im ure it was down to these deadlifts straight after rowing. I just added a few more pounds each workout, and really pushed to get an extra rep or two. And i think thats how i prgoressed. No real secret there, just do rows and follow them up with one arm rows/deadlfits etc.

SpecialK - Thanks man! Im now using a strict form of jus above paralell. Really rapes the back this way.

    *Warning. Serious rant below* lol

Before I hit the sack id just like to tell you all of my totally unlucky morning/early afternoon today on the way to Hannahs.

Ok, I got a txt from Hanny saying I could come ova, i sent her one back saying id be over as soon as possible. She then sent one bak to me saying "I sent u that txt 40 mins ago". I was like oh ****, as it had only jus came through to my fone. SO from this point onwards i was thinking 2day was gonna be an unlucky day!

So I sent her a txt again saying im on my way. So i left the house locked up and started to walk to the train station a half a mile away. throughout the journey i kept getting messages from Hannah saying "did u get my last txts?" So obviousley she hadnt got my txts i sent her. (and i had no credit on my fone so cudnt txt her bak to tell her id recieved them) so I jogged to the stations phone box and gave her a quick call on her mobile (put a 50p coin in to the machine) She picked up, I said "sorry babe, i got ur messages, and im at Cradley Station, can you hear me?" She replied "yes, sorry its my fone i can only put it on speaker fone but its too loud and i cant hear what ur...." The phone cut off. No damn credit left in the ****ing phone box. 50p used up in less than a minute. rediculous. So i stuck in another 30p (minimum charge) rang her mobile, ring ring ring ring ring ring. "Welcome to the o2 answer fone service" I thought ********! and looked at the screen on the phone box. (it had stolen my money!)

So I thought oh this is ****ing uselss, i aint spending more money on this ****ting machine! So I rushed over the bridge and waited for the train to Stourbridge (where she lives). 5 minutes and the train arrived. "GOOD" i thought. So i was listening to my music on the train, when this tall, lanky ticket inspector walks up to me, i pull my headfones out.
"Excuse me, can i see your ticket please?"
"Oh ****" I said,"i forgot to get one, Sorry mate, I'll have a single to Stourbridge please". To which the **** replied
"Why didnt you buy a ticket at the station?"
"Because I was in a rush and forgot" to which he replied
"I think u better get off at the next station and buy a ticket dont u?"
I said "ok then" (pissed off about this ****)

So the train pulled in at Lye, I got off the train (looking at the guy with eagle eyes) walked over to the ticket machine, put a pound in, grabbed the ticket and was about to walk over back on the train, when the **** drove off!! i was thinking oh my ****ign god, whats gonna happen next!?
So i walked over to the train timetable to see when the next train to Stourbridge would arrive. (The time was 2:35, next train was at 2:57)

I was like. "oh ****ing great!" So pissed off I proceeded to piss about on the railings at Lye station until my train would arrive. so 22 minutes passed (very slowly), and I was thinking "for god sake, i just wanna be with Hannah, and all this **** happens!" So as i was preparing for a train to come in, an old woman across the track shouted, "you wating for the train to Stourbridge?"
    "yes i am!"
"Well its been delayed 9 minutes"
"****!, Oh ok then, thanks for that"
(****ing lovely, another 9 minutes of windy cold, boring time to pass). Oh well I found two ralings which were like tricep dips, so i started doing some of them on it lol.
When all of a sudden the warden comes out of his ticket office and says to me.

"excuse me mate, Ive got some bad news im afriad"
"Whats that then mate, I alredy know about the delay"
"Well your train has been cancelled mate, problem with the line"
w0000t!! I yelled in my head. Youve gotta be ****ing kidding me!! So i said to him, "So what do i do about this ticket ive bought from the machine? im not wasting a pound!"

to whcih he replied, "im sorry mate, we cant refund you as you are not supposed to purchase tickets from the machine... I dont even know why its working" "sorry mate"
(wanting to stab his eyes out with my fingers) I said "Oh alrite then, well ill have to walk then wont I to Stourbridge?"
    "Yer afraid so man"

    ****! lol.

Just for the record. Lye is 3-4 miles away from Stourbridge (where Hannah Lives) And i wasnt gonna walk, it would take ages! So I ran lol. All uphill aswell FFS! I ran all the way to her house non ****ing stop!. So by this point i was ready to either break and cry or jus seriousley laugh! lol.

So, i rememberd i told Hanny id buy her a peperami from Tesco by her house, so I went there, looked around for a peperami (sweating like a passenger on a terrorist flight), couldnt find one anywhere. So i waited in queue to ask them if they had any. They replied, we havnt seen any for some time. they might be in the back, so a woman went and checked in the back for me. (nothing) after 5 minutes of sweating and waiting. she came out and said "sorry we dont have any"
I said "Ok, its ok" so i walked off, and just thought "ok, im cool, lets jus get to Hanny's"

So i ran the few more hundred metres to get to her house. Arrived at Hanny's 2 hours late. And I had no way of contacting her. I told her my story, and she looked quite amazed! lol.
    So there you have it!
    Another ****ing cardio workout!!

and to top it all off, The chain on my bike snapped yesterday morning....... lol. So i have no bike to travel on anymore.
Oh well. time for bed. Well earned sleep

This is how the story should have ended:

Goodwinm and Hannah after finally seeing eachother do a slow motion run into each others arms...Hollywood kiss....
    then....
    *Porno music breaks in*
