Irish - haha. I work hard to get my bonuses! and bonuses at decathlon are like half my monthly salary so it aint bad at all!

Stump - hehe lol dude. tomoz morning when i go in I should set up a barbell and load it up with heavy ass weight and see what I can max deadlift! I'm thinking around the 350-400lb mark

EDit: CoCoa - Im so sorry man! how did i forget to reply to the guru!! hehe. Im lovin this job atm. and today was even more awesome as i was doing some deadlifts with heavy ass weight before the store opened!

4pps deadlift. on a 16.5lb bar.. And this isnt even my max ( I had to stop adding weight cuz the manager was lurking!) lol. So atm my current heaviest deadlift is 171.1kg (377.3lbs)! i wreckon without distraction and worrying of manager seeing me id be able to pull over 185kg which would break my age and weight group record in britain!) Im well surprised how it just flew up! No grip issues at all. So far so good with these CoC grippers! lots of over training with the trainer and lots of negatives with the number one!

And thnks coke. Your a good guy, i real good guy, and the support you give me in here is super! Thanks for always popppin in and seein how im doing (or not as the case may be)
But good news is, I start at 12 tomorrow so I should eb able to get a heavy leg/back day in!

Deadlifting strength, I find, is skewed compared to real world "deadlifting".

In deadlifting you have the bar in a pre defined "manageable" area and a nice handle.

In the real world you have long odd mis shapen boxes with poor handles and sometimes those factors can make you struggle with a box of mediocre weight.

Im interested to see what you can dead as well, as a 300 pound box is some serious **** to be moving in the real world... atleast by yourself.

    pinky, Rob - thnks dudes!

WBBIRL - i totally agree with you man! a 300lb treadmill in a box is way heavier than a 300lb barbell. In theory that is wrong but realisticly it is correct. The arkwardness and the fact that one side weighs alot more than the over, and also the size of it. I love doing deliverys. Thats why i got the job. everyone else is skinny and small. and nothing was getting done. So I am doing a pretty good job i think. but a 300lb box is ****ing heavy! its stupidly heavy lol.

But an update on the gripper training! My grip is awesome! Im not jsut saying that. Working with these grippers is rele making a difference. Im not overdoing it and not going rep crazy. I stick to 2-3 sets of 6 reps each hand (holding crushed for 5 seconds each rep)with the trainer and then do static holds with #1 with both hands for 20 seconds each. Then I go back to the trainer (which then feels rele easy) and do some megga static holds. few sets of 20 seconds each hand.

And that is all i do. 3 times a week. And my grip is thanking me for it! I can hold 180kg on barbell easily when two weeks ago I probably couldnt have held 160kg. I'll keep it up and hopefully Ill be able to do some serious reppage with the #1 in both hands.

Finally a workout!!! HAHA THANK GOD FOR THAT!

and what a bastard of a workout!

    Heavy Back/Leg Day

    Barbell Squat

Really loving squats! (2nd workout with them)

warm ups, shoulder rotations, with and without weights. and 20 slow BW squats to warm up with.

    all below parallel

    66 x 10
    110 x 6
    154 x 6
198 x 3 (droppbed the weight behind me, huge crash! loved it! )
    220 x 1
    220 x 1
    242 x 1 (PR!)
    251 x 1 (PR of PR!!!)

YES! awesome. I'm really thrilled about the 251 squat. I just gave it my all and really pushed when I got to below parellel. The bar did roll up a bit and it turned into a good morning/squat but i did it! 114kg Squat. Chuffed to bits!

    Barbell Rows

Havnt done these in a while so kept it light to get used to them again.

    110 x 10
    154 x 10
    200 x 6

    Deadlifts

Man my grip was great today! No slips or nothin!

    200 x 6
    220 x 6
    251 x 6
    251 x 6

Im pleased! And need yet more weight! lol.

Also i thought id give an update on the grippers!

    One word: AWESOME!

Ive been really giving it some heavy intense training with the CoC's. This is what my grip workout looked like tonite (wen i was waiting at the train station for my train home)

Warm up with old hand gripper (probs 40-50lbs resistance tops)
    15 reps right
    15 reps left

    Into the intense Workout with..

CoC Trainer (to close each time holding for 5 seconds each rep)

    Right hand 6 reps
    Left hand 6 reps

    Right hand 6 reps
    Left hand 6 reps

    Right hand 6 reps
    Left hand 6 reps

    CoC #1

Right hand - closed fully and held closed for 20 seconds
Left hand - not completely closed and held for as hard as i could for 20 seconds.

    CoC Trainer

Right hand - closed and held for 20 seconds. (It felt so damn easy!) lol
Left hand - Closed and held for 20 seconds. Felt easy too.

Damn really solid workout. Forearms felt nicely worked. Im not overdoing it and it all feels great.
My grip strength is improving immensly!
