    Tomorrow Sunday 10.11.13, I will be doing a Maxing-It-Out day for the following;

    Deadlift (Aiming for at least 180kg x 1)
    Squat (Aiming for at least 130kg x 1)
    Bench (Aiming for at least 100kg x 1)
    Military Press (Aiming for at least 60kg x 1)

    So would bring my 'Big 3' total to 410kg (902lb) I'd be very happy with that. My all time 'Big 3' is 570kg (1,254lb) so still got a long way to go, but I am 23 and should be at my peak so lets do it!

    Well pleased with my work here!

    Bench press bit dissapoointed but it's obvious that I have never given bench the time of day over my years in training. So time to include it a lot more and hit that 140kg again!!

    Deadlift: 180kg (396lbs)
    Bench: 90kg (198lbs)
    Total: 410kg (902lbs) *hit my target! I'm happy*

    Then military press @ 70kg (154lbs) exceeded my target.

    Just really gotta eat more throughout the day! Real hard working 10 hours straight, no break and trying to fit in food in between calls!

    I've understand that mate, I remember how hard it can be to get enough food down while working. What do you do as work...surely they have to allow you a break!
    I'm obviously out of work at minute whilst I get everything sorted with my Heart so I'm either training or eating, bugger all else to do!

    Well I am entitled to a break of course, but trying to actually get away from it all without having a big workload on my desk when I get back prevents me! (and also really hard to get away because we don't have many staff, there is no cover!)
    I work in Floorcoverings Distribution on a Trade Counter. (Headlam Group).

    I must have missed the issue with your heart mate.

    I spent a few weeks in Hospital due to Heart Failure in June mate. Found out I've got an enlarged Heart, damaged left Ventricle and some holes in the connective tissue (septum) between the Chambers. Lost over 2 Stone while I was in there and came out weak as a child! haha. On loads of medication now...suprised I dont rattle when I walk.

    Blimey mate. Sorry to hear that. So do they reccomend lifting at all?

    No but they said if I am going to do it then don't push myself too hard and stop if I get any Chest Pains discomfort etc. Need to up the reps a bit and lighten the weights to be honest. I tried to avoid lifting entirely for a bit when I got out Hospital but it's difficult when you've been at it for so long!

    Must be tough. Well you can still challenge yourself and keep the weight relatively light.

    Thanks bud, I think you are right!

    I'm thinking I should just do one muscle group per session. These long hours at work and mega volume sessions are probably knackering my CNS!

    I like supersetting opposing muscle groups to get in and out quicker. Your going to be heavily taxing your CNS on every lift from the looks of things, try having a light week to give it a break then when you go back just save the low reps for the main lifts.
