Hi all, have been on my bulk for about 6 weeks now, but was wondering about my post workout meal. I normally have a shake:
50g oats, 2 bananas, scoop whey, pint nonfat milk, banana flavouring.
But i'm not going to be able to get hold of some more whey for a while, and i've run out. I've just been having a pint and a half of milk, with museli (as its quite high in sugar) My question is this: Is milk protein inadequate for a post workout meal? (I know whey is a part of milk, but doesn't it also have casein, a slower digesting protein in it) Also, is it ok to include fats in my PW meal (eg natty) or will this slow down protein absorption?
Finally, my preworkout meal usually includes a bagel and some meat, usually turkey + mustard. Is this adequate, or can you suggest something better?
