The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    At work...

    At work...

Anyone can do any amount of work provided it isn't the work he/she is supposed to be doing.

At work, the authority of a person is inversely proportional to the number of pens that person is carrying.

Everything can be filed under "miscellaneous."

Following the rules will not get the job done.

Getting the job done is no excuse for not following the rules.

If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done.

If you are good, you will be assigned all the work. If you are really good, you will get out of it.

Important letters that contain no errors will develop errors in the mail.

Keep your boss's boss off your boss's back.

Never delay the ending of a meeting or the beginning of a cocktail hour.

No matter how much you do, you never do enough.

People who go to conferences are the ones who shouldn't.

The last person that quit or was fired will be held responsible for everything that goes wrong.

To err is human, to forgive is not our policy.

When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question, "how would the Lone Ranger handle this?"

When you don't know what to do, walk fast and look worried.

You are always doing something marginal when the boss drops by your desk.

"The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death." --Thomas Paine

The one 2nd from last "walk fast & look worried"-LOL. I have uesd a variation of that one for years & it works every time.
Have a clipboard in your hand,( or just a few papers stapled together) walk fast & keep looking at your watch; every now & then stop & flip through the "important papers" on the clipboard.

I used to sneak to the break room, cafeteria, make few phone calls, ect. with this all the time & nobody ever questioned me.....

can i just tell y'all something that's really bothering me about my job??

    it's business casual right?

i push the bounadaries everyday, and come in totally casual....i even wear jeans on friday. and i'm not supposed to.

but NO ONE says anything to me. management sees me everyday...and NO ONE says anything to me. granted i'm the only person in my department at this location, and my closest supervisor is a couple thousand miles away. ironically her boss, is on my floor, if that makes any sense.

but i feel like the step-child no one cares about. i might have to do something drastic to get attention.

    better yet...skip the attention. nevermind.
