I want to start it monday. Has anyone tried this with good results in strength and size?

I don't know about thousands, but it's a pretty popular Westside variant.
I've tried a 3x/week WS split before and the problem that I had was that I needed more frequent work for my BP/Upper Back work than I did for my SQ/DL work. I think having a "repetition method" day for the third session makes a lot of sense for that reason.
A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

I use it to a degree, I cycle my main exercises by month and my accessories every fortnight, and supports I alternate by week.
Powerlifting is about getting your body to recruit more muscle fibres, no mainly packing on size. Size will come from your diet.

To be honest I think the dynamic days combined with the max effort days provide an enormous hypertrophy stimulus... not much else is needed. Ah well it'll work either way.
i started my first workout today of westide for skinny bastards. Wow what a feeling. Best feeling ive ever felt since i started lifting. I have always used HIT 1 set training. Let me tell u this westide traing is way better and i know i will get great results. I think ppl should try this program i loev ti soo farr.
