The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

been eating "dirty" the past week...

usually, i am very health conscious and eat "cleanly".... however, for some reason, in the past week i have gone out to eat frequently and just been eating a lot of junk....

when ppl say eat eat eat! does it matter whether it is clean or dirty?

    Depends.

Trans fats, too high saturated fats and too much HFCS can be very detrimental to health.

I would say it does matter.

Read the NFs and see what's in what you are eating. Typically, if it's processed food or "eating out" food, it isn't that good for you. I'm finishing up my bulk now so I'm "treating" myself with dirty food. I often find it difficult to eat clean when I have to keep cals so high.

You're 19, you have a fast metabolism, but dont take advantage of this.

By your height and weight, definitly you should be bulking. Eat, eat, eat plenty of quality food and don't overdose fast food ( read "trans fats" ).

i personly say its better to eat "dirty" then not eat at all. but i have a pretty fast metabolism. there are times when im on a bulk ill eat a whole large cheese pizza bymyself.

if i have the time and such ill prepare or eat a heathy meal. but if im busy all day i will grab whatever i can to meet my daily caloire intake

Having a high metabolism doesn't have anything to do with what foods are healthy for you and what amount of unhealthy foods you should eat.

Definitly no. But look at his stats :
    Age: 19
    Height: 5'7"
    Weight: 170lbs
    Body Fat around 12%

Clearly ( by my point of view ) he's an ectomorph with fast metabolism. Dont' know if one of the two guys in his picture is him, but looks like.

    food

    Basically its like this:

Bulk CLEAN - not as much fat to lose when you cut. Also more healthy.

Bulk DIRTY - lot more fat to lose when you cut. Not so healthy but quicker.

    There.
