    Bench Press Competition Update

    The competition is 8 weeks from now they are going by USPF rules. i have already started trainging for a it a couple weeks ago. this will be my first competition entering and im wondering if anyone has any tips for me or if its even worth me competing in. im 5'11' 189 lbs and i can bench 225 5 times. its not a professional competition or anything. i am a Marine stationed on an island of japan called okinawa, so its an island wide event. no i am not using a shirt either. right now this is my training schedule to get ready for it. every 2 weeks the reps will decrease and the weight will increase, i dont have the weights posted for each week that will be determined as i go but here it is
    week 1 12 reps 4 sets
    week 2 12 reps 4 sets
    week 3 8 reps 4 sets
    week 4 8 reps 4 sets
    week 5 5 reps 5 sets
    week 6 5 reps 5 sets
    week 7 5 reps 5 sets
    week 8 3 reps 6 sets
    week 9 3 reps 6 sets
    week 10 competition
