    Abdominal Interference

    Hello all,
I have a problem. When i do my triceps kickbacks, I feel alot of tension on my abs. Almost as if they are helping to raise the weight. Im worried that my abs are not letting my triceps work to heir full potential. Any help on how to relax my abs would be great.

The problem is not your abs, it's that you are doing kickbacks. Try close grip bench or skullcrushers instead.

If you want another extension, do cable pushdowns.

If you already do CG and french press, skullcrushers would be overkill. Try cable pushdowns.

Also, your abs are involved in almost every movement you do. I wouldn't worry about it.

your abs are basically trying to stablize your core, and as an effect, are tensing up
