The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Do floor press and for your chest you can do flies.

Thanks, does the floor press not work your chest as much as the bench press then?

Since you dont go as low is works the chest less.

Buy a bench, even if it's something cheap.

A coffee table or piano bench can do in a pinch...or you could do a lot of pushups.

In about another month or so, start checking the classfied ads. All those people who made New Year's resolutions to get in shape/lose weight and bought equipment are going to be selling it off when they fall off the wagon. You might be able to get something pretty nice for cheap.

lol.....i completely forgot what i used to use when i had no bench. (after doing floor presses, not knowing what they were at the time) Anyway, I use to use two fold up chairs to hold the bar, and then another chair for my back, and another for my butt. It was very strange.

lol I did the same only no chair for my back or butt. Just one for the bar. And something soft to lay on Didn't feel they worked very well though. So I just went out and bought a bench, plus some other stuff.

Don't do bench presses, especially on a coffee table or piano bench. Its dangerous.

One time I saw a guy who couldn't afford a bench do a 315lb. bench press on a piano bench. With a mighty roar and fart he began to press the weight from his chest. About half way up his hamstring tore the **** up. He was like ******* ****. Then his calf exploded, benches kill them calves. His tricep was overstretched and ripped into a quadricep. Then the legs of the bench broke the **** off, but only the ones by his head. He slid backwards off the bench but the momentum pushed the weight up. He was happy as hell, then he died.

You've crossed the line from a joke that was fun and entertaining to a horribly lame and irritating one.
