The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

You should be lifting heavy weights, ESPECIALLY when cutting.

On another note, you're making great progress. Keep it up, but don't wait to start building those muscles.

Well I'm going to guess you didn't gain 81 lbs in a month, and instead lost 19 lbs. That's too much for someone who's been training for a while. It's a completely different situation for a newb, so in the first couple months a lot of crazy things can happen. Shoot for 1-2 lbs a week though. You're probably not eating enough, in addition to losing a bunch of water weight. Wait and see what happens in the next few months though - I would just throw out the data from your first month of lifting.

so he lost 19lbs, dropped 5.5% BF and 3.5" from his waist, but added 1/2 inch to his arms?

    in one month?

Is this a 30 day span? I bet you some of that is water. What are your calories right now? I bet you could stand to eat a bit more.

yeah i wouldnt doubt if it was mostly water weight.... i think its because is started drinking about 8 1pt water bottles a day, instead of about 8 20oz bottles of pepsi, and i am feeling better and i have more energy now...

Eliminating pop is the first thing you should do. It's all empty calories and almost pure carb anyway. I know a few people how only drink pop... Like 10L or more a day, and they just can't figure out why they can't loose weight and always have terrible headaches when they "try" to diet and quit after 3 days.

Keep up the hard work. real deal body transformations take some time.

    Good luck!

Weightlifting sucks. I just like to lift heavy things.
