    Tricep Machine vs skull crushers

IF you think about it aren't these the same? Because your elbow has only two ways to go, forward and backwards unlike your shoulder which has infinity ways. I mean I have trouble doing skullcrushers so why don't I go ahead and just do the machine instead?

In addition to benching, military press, and my compound stuff.

skullcrushers... are better imho. reason being, its a free weight, and you have too control it above you. machine is just stablized and yes i think its more isolating thats all. i think skulls are better. more effective?

I am a HUGE fan of free weights too and only use the machines when I feel like I need to... Which isn't often...

Mainly freeweights make you use your twitch muscles more... not just the big ones.

You did go to the link didnt you?
Its free weight dude, just like skull crushers. You actually have to control more of the weight throughout the movement of the JM press, look at the videos in that link.

imho sculls are better because they are compound moves. you can definately press more with the machine, but i find sculls to work my triceps much more

Well...did JM presses for the first time ever yesterday and let me tell you how ive never felt anything like it on my tri's. The first couple light warm up sets actually really hurt my elbows, alot of pain, more so right above my elbow joint. Then once I got into my work sets it was bomb! I highly suggest this exercise.

Deline Skullcrushers if you want to make it fun. My favorite tri exercise.

I've been wondering what the JM Presses were. Have to try them sometime.
Success is achieved by doing a little more than you thought you could, and a lot more than anyone else.

WTF, a guy can't make his own quotes sometimes? Sheesh.
