The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

the end is when he's on the wing of the plane.
And that's the part where Superman is completely rendered by computer. They did this in the theater trailer. The showed a close up of him, but it was computer generated. Then he flew back down to earth and it was computer generated, like they did with Keanu Reeves in The Matrix when he was flying. I hope he doesn't look this fake throughout the movie. The first part of that link you gave it was obviously him. I hope they render fake Superman as little as possible. I'm a HUGE Superman fan.

Actually no, it's not. This was a very taxing shot. You should see the crazy rig they used.

Nope. Only the cape was CGI. And the "outer space".

The "fly-away" effect was CGI, yes.

    I agree about "rendered Superman".

The first part, after the lightning, *is* actually a CGI composite clip of him zooming through the office/library/whatever. I think it looks great.

This movie was made using extensive wire work and a new mechanical rig. Much of the CGI is used to edit the wires/rig "out".

Ya know, at first I wasn't sure about this movie but I went on IMDb and was reading some of the stuff in the forums and now I'm actually a bit excited about this movie.

That filelodge link isn't working right now, I think filelodge is down right now or something but I'll comment later when it gets up and running.

Actually, you're right. And I'm glad I took a closer look now. It's definitely him.

I thought those fanfilms were awesome. Well, I watched the Batman and Superman one and the Dick Grayson one, which was better. I want more.

    Nice name change.

I'm waiting for the 'fat superman' sequel.

You know, the one where he's like Vegas Elvis? Gut hanging over the belt, unshaven, bloodshot eyes. I dare anyone to make THAT movie.

That reminds me of another cult film...Bubba HoTep...where elvis is in a retirement home (he switched lives with an impersonator) and he's working with a black JFK (they changed his body to hide the conspiracy...it was the man!) and ogether they battle a mummy that eats old people in the retirement home. It was absolutely absurd and cracked me up...nothing like elvis on a walker. Thank ya...thank ya very much.

There's a sequel. And yes...that move is hilarious. Bruce Campbell is the man!

Just thought of some redneck pastimes for our fat Supes:

    - lighting his farts with heat vision
    - using super breath to cause pileup at NASCAR race
    - using super breath to cause sonic booms when burping after drinking Old Milwaukee and Busch
    - using x-ray vision to check out the waitresses' panties at the local Denny's
    - letting his buddies shoot him with their shotguns for kicks
    - using photographic memory to memorize every pro wrestling move and statistics in all leagues

I do NOT like the Lois has a kid angle at all... ever since I learned of it. Even still, I like the way it's looking enough that it won't ruin the movie for me. It's Supes.... they'd have to do much worse to wreck it for me.

Yeah I'm actually surprised that Spacey looks like he'll be able to pull of Lex Luthor. Majestic, props on keeping us updated with the trailer.
But I don't get it, whose kid is Lois's?
Edit: Don't spoil it if it's a major part of the plot...
Edit #2: Nevermind, I paused it when it showed the "family pic" and it looks like the father is some random dude... unless Superman snuck in there gave her some of his Super-Seed.

***** PLOT POINTS, BUT NO TRUE "SPOILERS" *****

    Actually, that's the real trick.

If you recall this movie's prequel, Superman II, he (cough) slept with Lois in that crystal bed in the Fortress of Solitude.

Per this film, he left shortly after saving the world from Zod. Around that time period, Lois began dating "the new guy" (James Marsden, who plays Cyclops in the X-Men movies). They've been together ever since.

Now, they didn't take the "easy" route with her current boyfriend. It would've been easy to make him a cocky jerk, or hapless loser, and have Superman be the easy choice. He's supposedly very likeable, very respectable, and almost like "Superman without the powers", if you will.

I don't want to know who the father is, and don't care to know anymore regarding that plot point until I see the movie, although the answers are all out there.

I'm sorry, it just doesn't look as good as I think it could have -- and I'm generally not a picky person about these things. I think the three main character choices, Superman, Lois, Lex, are all poor.

I'd rather see a "Smallville" movie.

New international trailer. I personally don't think it looks *that* great but whateva.

Oh yeah, and LOL @ him going in for the kiss on Lois Lane's cheek. Sad that Superman makes himself into a loser in order to fit in with the rest of the average loser guys out there.
