Haha, my pull-up strength is so weakkkkkk. Today, I halfheartedly pulled 45 extra lbs at 158 lbs, for a whopping total of 203/158, or 128%. Rawr.

Next time i won't post a video and y'all just going to have to accept my number as i had posted.
I'd hate to be a dick, but I don't see any way that your rep is legit. You didn't start from a dead hang, and it doesn't look like you got your chin high enough(plus there's a beam between your hands blocking your head).

I'll try to get in the comp as soon as possible, but the highest I've gone is BW+40x1 and you guys are putting up some massive numbers, so it may be a while

You saw a beam between my hands? also, how can you say that's not from a deadhang?

I'll try to post another video when my strength recovers. The first vid was of poor quality because it's not a "requirement". We might as well make good-quality-video mandatory. haha Is it hard to believe a 150lbs guy can pull an extra 100lbs? I mean if i want to exaggerate my number don't y'all think i would have entered in the OH challenge?

It wasn't a pure dead hang, but it was pretty good.

I tried it first thing in the gym today. I was a little sore from working out the past 2 days in a row so I don't think this is my best possible effort. With more rest I think I could do another 5 or 10 lbs.

    Here's what I did:

    Pullups
    Bodyweight = 201 lbs

    1 x BW+45 WU
    1 x BW+65 WU
    1 x BW+90 Got it!
    0 x BW+105 Failed!

So my best 1RM is bodyweight plus 90 lbs for a total weight lifted of 291 lbs and approximately 145% of bodyweight. I'd like to try chinups next time and see if I do any better with the underhand grip.

I used the built-in camcorder of a digital camera but this one is of better quality i think. haha

As for the deadhang.. do you have to stay in that position for a few seconds to make it count?

For a deadhang you're elbows would be completely straight. You're close, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Did some today.. and I confirmed... that I suck.. grip and back strength.. anyway:

    warmups..
    Pullups BW x 2
    Chins BW x 2
Neutral Grip Pullup BW x 2

    Tests:
    Pullups BW+25x1 BW+45xfailed
    Chins BW+25x1 BW+45xfailed
    Neutral Grip Pullup BW+25x1 BW+45x1 BW+70xfailed

My BW today was 241 lbs...

Will try in a couple of weeks again.. I frankly don't think my horrible efforts are worthy of a video.. so unless I can do >70, there won't be any video!

Is not over yet. Me and my wife have a baby coming in Aug so I don't think I'll be improving much.

BC.. I think it is for both... a contest for both Pullups and for Chins..

ExPullup.. awesome dude.. does that knurled bar help at all with gripping the pullup?

Sort of; On the 180 lb pullup I'm holding it on the arc where its almost all polished chrome.

Ha! Your chinup bar is shaped like a U, I could do a bazillion pounds like that! Just kidding, I knew you'd smoke everyone in this comp - nicely done!

Not that 180lbs isn't freakishly impressive, but in this contest are we allowed to use that slight kipping motion that Extreme used?

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.
