The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Weight bench

I am deciding between these three benches:
    http://www.gymcor.com/woolnabe.html
    http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/95003.html
    http://www.deltechfitness.com/df1000.htm

Since the Powertec bench does not come with the leg attachment, I am leaning towards one of the other two. Any comments on comparing these benches would be appreciated.

Before I would buy anything, I would check out the ads in Muscular Development and Muscle and Fitness mags. I priced everything that I would want to put in my basement once I have my own place, and it wasnt too bad. I can't remember the exact site! Just a thought!
The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be a good friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.

For now, I'll just get a wrap around rack, this style: http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/92565.html and use the bench I have with the barbell supports removed. I'll get the new bench later, or if I get enough money for my birthday, I'll get both in August. If not, I'll just get the wrap around rack in August, and get the bench in December.

Hey, that's a decent rack! I'm looking to put a few things in my basement (just bought a house), and a decent rack is first on the list. I'm gonna check locally here first (I live in York, PA, home of "York Barbell", just look at the plates in your gym).

What do you think of this option:
    http://www.gymcor.com/dainspsabe.html with
    http://www.gymcor.com/bosoposqra.html
It gives me the option of putting the car in the garage in case of a hail or snow storm.

http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/96031.html Would also be an option.

i think thats a better choice. that vertical rack looks pretty slick. ive never experienced one so idonno how sturdy it would be though?

Much better off with a rack and bench without barbell support IMO. If you get the rack then you won't really need the leg attachment which kind of gets in the way most of the time hwen you arent using it.
