The David Barton Chicago gym looks very nice and the price is somewhat doable.

My local golds also has a "cardio theater".

There is a gym down the street that is $70 a month. I don't mind paying that, but it was nothing more then a high school hang out for rich kids. They had 1 power rack, so it was near useless. They do serve drinks and food in the pool though.

In the pool??? Deuce Bigalow flashback:he is in the hot tub with the black guy talking about ways to make $ and the latter accidentally drops his ice cream cone in the water, it floats for a second, he snatches it back up and continues licking away at it. Hillarious moment.

Even if you have the money to spend on that, what would be the point? But i suppose you could really say that about alot of the stuff people spend money on.

There's a place in LA that washes and waxes your car while you workout, if you choose to have that done. I would rather build my own home gym with that membership money.

Yeah you could build an absolutely awesome home gym for the price of what many of those gyms are asking annually.

With that said I still wouldn't mind a membership to one of those places or at least the opportunity to personal train there.

I wouldn't get a membership at them. Maybe the sports one where they train perfissional altheles only one I would consider. All the others seem as "For overweight poeple wishing to feel good about themsevles even though they aren't really doing anything besides being able to talk about insider tradeing" thats what I think.

All those treadmills...why not just have an indoor track?

100 people running so close + electronics has to be uncomfortably smelly and hot.

At 20K/year their HVAC systems are probably up to par.
