The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

One of these days they probably will come up with a machine that is truly the next generation... where all you have to do is stand there and you'll end up ripped (somehow).

I don't think today is that day, though...

If anyone that wants to get buff remotely thinks that they could do it with this then why aren't the major poeple doing this.

Like Bowflex was the next generation. Thing is you can't squat or DL on a bowflex.

    And the few poeple that showed that where training were on machines..;
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

A platform that you stand on and it vibrates?
So, like, a chick standing on that wobbly plate would essentially be jiggling in all the right places?

    It gets my vote.

But no fatties on it, please. Fit women ONLY. Thanks much.

It actually has interesting applications in outer space.

But, yes, preferably, those applications involve vibrating hot cosmonauts named Ivana and Tatiana.

Perform Better and a few other fitness eqiupment wholesalers have been selling these things for a long time. I can see it having its place in rehab and other related areas but not as far as actual lifting goes. Same with doing your training on swiss balls or bosu balls. Stability training is great if that's your weakness.

If you're going to have to perform during an earthquake then this would be the way to go.

Hmmm. I think I'll wait another 20 years for my nano-tech suit that will allow me to jump 20 metres into the air, and allow me to single handedly lift a car off the ground.

The whole point is that it looks like garbage. Maybe one day there'll be a device that'll allow you to get ripped by hardly doing anything, but then again, nothing is truly worth having unless you work hard for it. Even if that day did come, I'd still rather lift pieces of iron. Something about it just seems...almost spiritual. I could never see giving up weights.
