    How do I get rid of the "pooch"?

    Hey guys! This is the "woman fat" I was telling you about. How do I get rid of it?!?

    what is your diet and training split like?

    I'm new at this actually. I started the first Wannabebig Routine this week. I have been working out with a trainer for the past 3 weeks though. My diet is not bad, though not great. I've been tracking my calories on fitday and I'm usually in the 1300 range.

    1300 is pretty low IMHO.

    Well, If I eat more, won't I gain more. I'm just trying to lose the jiggle around my stomach and firm up. I don't necessarily want ripped abs...

    I weigh 120lbs. I'm 5'4"
    Yes, I am tracking my diet of fitday.

    Like I said, I am very new and all this counting calories, working out stuff. I have NO idea what I'm doing!

    No, my trainer did not suggest 1300. That is just what I eat.

    Your body looks pretty good to begin with. I'm sure you aren't very far from your goal. The two best people to help you on this site have already posted in this thread, so listen to what they say and follow their advice.

    1300 calories for someone who is 120 pounds isn't all that far off.
    Squats work better than supplements.

    See, that's what I'm thinking, too - it's a little low, and doubling protein will bring up the protein to a decent minimum and the cals to about 1500, which is probably closer to the mark.

    Hey Wimbo. Just so you know, you look great. I'm not really saying that to hit on you or anything, I'm just saying that don't be so consumed in trying to lose weight to lose your "pooch" (which to me is almost invisible) to the point you become anorexic. Just my advice.

    If you want to lose the "pooch" all you need is to lift weights and eat healthy.

    1300 calories isnt bad. I weigh 190 and my LBM is 160 and I consume that, and Im male ! (I'm doing UD2.0)

    Yeah- but your average calories/day for the week are much higher than that. Lyle pretty explicitly states that he wouldn't cut calories back that far if not for the fact that you're only cutting for 4 days out of the week. 1300 calories probably isn't too far off from what Wimbo needs (as others have stated), but you really shouldn't make it sound like this is acceptable for a 190 pound male... impressionable young minds and whatnot.

    Ahh, the 1200 cal days on UD2 really are quite a bit of fun

    I must have a tremendously stunted metabolism, i don't feel good about myself unless i consumed under 2200 calories, and that's only on workout day.

    P.S. Do you guys really find that picture attractive?

    Lyle reccomends not going down past 1200 because it is almost impossible to get the needed nutrition requirements met. I could go past that but I'd be eatting only oats, bread, tuna, and chicken...

    Im happy with UD2 though, 1.4% BF one week, .5% this week. Still a month left too. I'll be in good shape before winter bulk.
