Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Between Firefox and Windows Defender I've only had to deal with one virus within the last 9 months or so. And even that one was easy to get rid of.

I agree that the best way to prevent this sort of stuff from happening is to make sure you don't download anything where you aren't positive what the file is.

The one that got me was I was browsing porn and the website said there was a media codec that needed to be downloaded as a plug-in for me to play the vid in my browser. Bastards got me while I was vulnerable hahhahaha.

Well... the destructive reformat would fix the problem. I would think in this situation anyone would be smart enough to know you probably cant save much of anything on the infected install.

Firefox does a good job, as well do zonealarm, avast, SB S&D, AD Aware, and Spyware blaster. I use all of those and have yet to get a virus on this new machine.

Apple eats it, they cant even get negative attention.
