640 bench at 50+ single ply!

Here is a vid of one of my training partners at the APF Iowa meet. He is 50 and in the 275's. this was a new AAPF nat record for him. He missed the first two and came back and smoked the third.

OK now that I watched the video I am really impressed and he did it at Bill's meet also. Great meet to make a record at. Tell him he looked really wobbly on his first 2 and to make sure he is EXTREMELY tight everywhere. This is currently my biggest problem and i have been hitting TONs of support work for bakc and shoulders to help stabalize it.

Thanks guys I will tell him.We normally don't do a three man lift off and I don't think this helped. I was supposed to work but made the drive anyway so he found some people to help. This should have been an easy opener but after he missed the first one his head was all jacked up! I also normally push him into his set up but Sweeney said you could not do that anymore in the APF at the rules meeting. So his set up wasn't as good as it could have been. But he showed some heart when he came back and smoked the third!

Every time I get so proud of my bench I hear about something like this... 335 might as well be 135.

Keep in mind that 640 was in a bench shirt. If you're doing 335 raw you'd probably do more like 450+ in a shirt.
