    Rate of muscle growth

A search yielded no results, so here is my question: How much muscle can someone realistically expect to gain in a month? In a year? I see posters on here claiming to have, for example, "gained 25 pounds since June, most of which is muscle." 25 pounds of muscle seems like a huge transformation for 1 year of work, let alone a couple months. What would be a realistic figure for rate of muscle growth?

    It's completely individual.
