If you feel you need the rest then take a week off.

Soreness is not an indicator that you're not progressing, so don't let that worry you.Your body will adapt.

Take another look at your diet. Your cals are a good 1000 or so too low.
Face it: biceps are the muscle that classifies you as a muscle man.

Only you know your body, dog. You have to do what's right for you. Noone can tell You when YOU need to take a rest. Look into the Mike Mentzer books for some cool info on resting between workouts.

Yeah, true. But that doesnt mean it will work forever.

He dieted down quit a bit, his metabolism probally shot up as with his activity level, if he need a week off after a month diet certainly can be a factor.

    Jorge Sanchez:

Look at the earlier days, ranging from 1600-1800.

I did, and that seems like a reasonable range for someone who has been dieting long enough to lose 85lbs. Although I do agree that bumping up the calories for a while might not be a bad idea.

Yeah "weight", which will eventually be more muscle than fat, upping his bodyfat and thusly a complete waste of effort.
