    Contest...

This weekend, I'm going to prep my audition tape to enter the Next Food Network Star contest. I've got an idea that I think would be a real winner.

Anyone else going to take a chance on this thing? Got nothing to lose, right?

My idea isn't for a particular food, but for an actual show concept. As far as I can tell, I haven't seen it done yet...so I'm not going to be mentioning anything about it. I don't want it to be stolen away.

Either way, it's mostly for grins. I don't expect to win, but how cool would it be if I could get a chance to get paid to do something I actually enjoy?

    Hells yeah it would!!

When I was younger, I wanted to be a chef. I should have stuck with that. I have a degree in Graphic Design and another one in CIS...and I hate both fields. Sitting at a computer all god damned day isn't how I want to spend my next 40 years.

I have a friend that went to Pennsylvania Culinary Institute for Patisserie and Baking. She just got a job at a Hilton doing plated desserts. Loves every minute of it.

Maybe I should just go ahead and try that...

That's pretty much why I'm doing it.

We'll see about that. I don't know really what Vikings made except for mead and legs of animals.
