Pressing was not pretty today but I hit my old PR of 290. On the 4th rep with 390 close grip I tweaked something in my inner thigh pretty bad, had to pretty much put no pressure on that leg for the rest of my sets which made things a lot harder.

Couldn't really do any pulling or anything involving much hamstring since it's still pretty sore from yesterday so I decided to go all out on front squats and do as many triples as I could before I really started to get fatigued. These did not feel good on the hammy but I was able to grit through them.

Going to try and put more emphasis on training my core. I noticed a difference in front squats when I was training abs regularly but I have been lazy about it lately. I also never work my lower back directly which is probably a huge mistake so we'll see if lots of extensions makes any difference. Really wish my gym would get a damn reverse hyper.

Didn't really feel the greatest today. Shoveled my drive way right before going to the gym so my lower back was nice and tight before I even started lifting.

Felt really strong with the military pressing today. Weight gain has stalled a little the past couple weeks, going to add in another 100 cals or so per day. Heaviest I've been this week is 226. My goal was 230 but it looks like I'll hit that faster than I thought so I think now I'll just keep slowly gaining and maybe do a short 10 week diet this spring to trim up a little bit. Still probably only 12 - 13% bodyfat right now.

Really starting to see the benefits from the pin presses; my lockout has gotten much stronger. The 440 double felt even better than the 435 did before.

575 was the grinder of all grinders but I got it, nice PR without wraps. I really didn't feel the greatest today and something was really tight in my left quad/hip so I was kind of surprised to hit this. Also gives me confidence knowing I have more in me when I'm 100%. I was fucking gassed after the single so the rest of my sets were kind of pathetic.

Big PR on Military press today. Was pretty wiped out by the time I got to close grip however, so I struggled with those.

    That's always a good thing!

After our our talk about wraps, I think I'm going to try a 36" pair of the KLA2000. The material is soft enough to really crank down on and hard enough to get a cast like feel.

I was really debating between those and the THP's. I ended up getting the THP's to try. I might get a pair of the KLA in the future when I decide to move up to 36" wraps.

I felt like crap warming up today, had no intention of going real heavy but as I worked up to 445 everything felt lighter and lighter so I figured why not. 475 is a nice 10 lb PR from a couple weeks ago. Getting pretty close to my goal of a 500 front squat without wraps.

I've never used the THP's before. I'll give you an update on the 36" wraps whenever I get them.

Been feeling a little beat up lately, joints especially achy. 450 x 2 wasn't as easy as I was hoping but the 430 x 3 felt really good. I can tell my body is getting used to the heavier weight as I feel more confident with 425+ in my hands and the descent has gotten a lot faster.

Not happy with today. I was feeling good warming up, the plan was to take a crack at 675. I don't know if I'm just over-fatigued and need a de-load, or if my lower back still isn't 100%, or the fact that I pulled something in my hip, but I couldn't even hit 635 today. It came off the ground easy but I just could not lock it out, which is unusual for a sumo pull. It really felt like my hips and glutes were not firing 100%. I guess the only positive is that the wide stance sets felt great. I'm setting up with my toes basically touching the plates and doing a very slow controlled descent. Glutes were on fire after those two sets.

When everything is factored in, that's still a great workout. Figure that hip out and things will be on point.

Yeah, in all honesty I know I'm by far the strongest I've ever been it's just frustrating as I pulled 660 months ago and at about 20 pounds less body weight. Deadlift has always moved painfully slow for me and I thought I'd be pulling 700 long before now.

Had a little bit of a bug these last couple days, just super achy all over, headache, tired, sleeping like shit, etc, so I was pretty surprised to feel as strong as I did today. 470 wasn't super smooth but it wasn't a grinder either. Came off my chest pretty good just had a little bit of form break-down. Pin presses felt very strong, tricep strength is definitely increasing a lot. Tried to keep the volume down, kind of doing a slight de-load this week.
