    Still not sure what the deal is with my military press but I was not in a good mood today. It feels like I pulled something in my collar bone area and is pretty uncomfortable while pressing. Close grip felt ok, though the 455 was pretty sloppy and my spotter had to put his fingers on the bar.

    Diet is definitely starting to get to me a little. I woke up right around 221 this morning.

    Me too. The last couple meets I've done are UPA since they have classic raw, but it's a pain because I have to travel 2 - 3 hours for their meets.

    Bench yesterday wasn't the greatest. Energy has been low, not sure if it's entirely from the diet or what. Hit 460 for a double but my spotter had to help a tiny bit on the second rep.

    I still don't understand what is going on with my sumo pulls. 605 felt terrible. Feels like I have no power in my hips. Not sure if I'm just beat up from squatting or what. The issue definitely is not my lower back as the 585 beltless deficit felt pretty good, could have probably pulled 600+.

    Not the greatest today. 450 paused was kinda slow. I feel great physically, no aches/pains, but everything just felt heavier than normal. I even took a couple days off from dieting this weekend, thought I would notice a difference with a few extra pounds of glycogen/water.

    Not bad today. My lower back has been feeling great but I could tell my hips and hamstrings are a little beat up. Started to get hamstring cramps after the 500 drop set.

    Nice work.

    Do you time your rest periods or, in any way, make an effort to keep them as short as possible? Or do you just go by feel and go for the next set when you're ready for it?

    I just go by feel. I try to keep myself moving and not sit around as long as I would in college, but if I'm going for a max effort set I'll give myself a good 5-10 minutes.

    My grip has gotten a log stronger but it's still not where it should be. Pulls did not feel very good today, really slow, but I would have had the third rep with 615 if my grip hadn't failed just above my knees.
