Still not sure what the deal is with my military press but I was not in a good mood today. It feels like I pulled something in my collar bone area and is pretty uncomfortable while pressing. Close grip felt ok, though the 455 was pretty sloppy and my spotter had to put his fingers on the bar.

Diet is definitely starting to get to me a little. I woke up right around 221 this morning.

Me too. The last couple meets I've done are UPA since they have classic raw, but it's a pain because I have to travel 2 - 3 hours for their meets.

Bench yesterday wasn't the greatest. Energy has been low, not sure if it's entirely from the diet or what. Hit 460 for a double but my spotter had to help a tiny bit on the second rep.

    Deadlifts from today -

    Sumo
    225 x 10
    315 x 5
    405 x 2
    495 x 2
    545 x 1
    585 x 1
    605 x 1

    3.5" Deficit Pull, Beltless
    495 x 1
    545 x 1
    565 x 1
    585 x 1

    Leg Extension
    5 sets of 12

    DB Preacher Curls
    30 x 10
    50 x 10
    50 x 10
    50 x 10
    40 x 10
    35 x 12

I still don't understand what is going on with my sumo pulls. 605 felt terrible. Feels like I have no power in my hips. Not sure if I'm just beat up from squatting or what. The issue definitely is not my lower back as the 585 beltless deficit felt pretty good, could have probably pulled 600+.

Not the greatest today. 450 paused was kinda slow. I feel great physically, no aches/pains, but everything just felt heavier than normal. I even took a couple days off from dieting this weekend, thought I would notice a difference with a few extra pounds of glycogen/water.

Not bad today. My lower back has been feeling great but I could tell my hips and hamstrings are a little beat up. Started to get hamstring cramps after the 500 drop set.

    Nice work.

Do you time your rest periods or, in any way, make an effort to keep them as short as possible? Or do you just go by feel and go for the next set when you're ready for it?

I just go by feel. I try to keep myself moving and not sit around as long as I would in college, but if I'm going for a max effort set I'll give myself a good 5-10 minutes.

I've had a throat infection all weekend, so was fairly surprised I didn't feel like complete shit today. Second rep with 460 was pretty sloppy. Wight was down to 217 this morning, usually around 220 during the day.

My grip has gotten a log stronger but it's still not where it should be. Pulls did not feel very good today, really slow, but I would have had the third rep with 615 if my grip hadn't failed just above my knees.

Pretty happy that I'm still making progress this deep into my cut. 580 is a 10 lb pr without wraps. I think with a proper deload I may be able to hit 600 wrapless.

    Front Squatted 450 x 3 without wraps on 10/4.

Decided to take the week off from my diet completely, I can tell my body needs the break badly. Taking it a little easier with my workouts too, not quite a full deload just lower weights.

Been lazy about updating this lately.

High Bar Squatted 500 x 4 with wraps on Tuesday.

Was traveling to Louisville this week so I had to cram a couple workouts together tonight. Front Squatted 465 x 2 and then 425 x 4. Squats continue to feel stronger and stronger. Close grip felt like absolute shit, no idea what is going on.

Nice work on the front squats! 450 x 3 with just sleeves should put you into the low 500's with wraps.

We could use you in the pull up challenge in the Bodybuilding section of the forum... am sure you can knock them out.

Thanks Tom. I believe I have hit 520 in the past with wraps on.

I am actually pretty terrible at pull ups, never understood why either.

    Deadlift session from yesterday.

    Conventional Deadlift
    225 x 10
    315 x 5
    405 x 1
    495 x 1
    545 x 1
    585 x 1
    625 x 1

    4" Deficit Deadlift, Belt-less
    495 x 1
    545 x 1
    565 x 1
    515 x 3

Top single was slow but form felt good. I didn't realize I had worked up to 625 last time I pulled or I would have gone 635. New short term goal is to pull 600 off a 4" deficit with no belt.

Was feeling good today and felt like having something heavy on my back. This is a 3 rep PR with wraps. Form was solid, could have easily added another 10 - 20 pounds.

Going to start curling 3 times a week. Yeah I just said that. Shoulder strength still kinda shitty, but things feel better.
