The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Haha.

I really need to take a week off soon. Heavy benching is destroying my elbows and shoulders. After maxing on all my big 3 this week I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

I dunno, prolly when I start injuring ****, lol. I ****ing hate taking breaks but I know it's essential every once in a while. I've been upping my daily fish oil intake, maybe that'll help with my joints a little. Been thinking about ordering some liquid fish oil since it's cheaper and taking 20 - 30 grams a day.

Sup guys. Sorry I haven't been posting lately, been busy with work and ****/too lazy to post when I get home from working out. I'm still lifting, although only 3 days a week right now since I have to drive to the gym. Been cutting for about 3 weeks now. I'm taking it slow, low carbs, trying to do a little bit of a re-comp. I've already noticeably lost some fat, my gut has shrunk quite a bit, and I'm only down 5 pounds total to about 225 right now. I'm hoping to end up around 215 at the end of my cut. Not looking for super low bf%, just enough to get rid of this gut.

Strength has been all over the place since I'm slightly low carb some days. Box squatted 525 completely raw the other day, while 355 bench felt heavy as ****.

Pulled 550 raw last week and felt a big pop half way up. Pretty sure I pinched my sciatica, I think the popping was just my spine and not a disk or anything. Back is feeling a lot better now but I was scared for a few days, the pain was pretty bad.

I also strained my right peck pretty bad a month or so ago and re-aggravated it yesterday. Haven't been able to go real heavy on bench for quite a while now and it's driving me nuts.

I'm down to about 205 - 210 now, probably 12% bf or just a little under. Going full keto all week now with EC stack to give it a little boost. I'm gonna go all out and shoot for about 8% bf before I even think about bulking again. Definitely never getting as fat as I was again either.

    Legs

    Warm Up - Back squats

    Rack Squats (bar nipple height)

    Front Squats
    315 x 4

    Reverse Leg Curls
    135 x 5
    185 x 5

    Seated Calf Raise

I've never done rack squats before (if that's even what they're called), wasn't sure how high the bar was supposed to be so I set it 2 or 3 pins below lockout, pretty much level with my nipples. Felt great having 675 on my back. Next time I do them I might try one pin lower just to get a little more out of it. I was fricken gassed after the rack squats and called it quits on front squats and leg curls after a set or two, lol. Just didn't have any energy left, especially being in keto right now.

Nice progress Invain, it's always great to see guys around my height pushing big weights. I can't believe you were @ 225 lbs, did you have like a huge gut at that weight? I was thinking of bulking to like 170 and have like a 8-10% body fat. I want to get noticeably bigger myself, but not square/stocky looking.
    Name: Adrian
    Height: 5'8
    Weight: 142 lbs

Goal: To be 175-180 lbs @ 10% body fat.

If at first you don't succeed, YOU WERE TAUGHT BY LOSERS!

Heaviest I've been was 230 this winter. I was probably 18- 20% bodyfat, but I carry my fat very evenly all over my body so I really didn't have much of a gut. I honestly looked leaner than I really was, which is one reason why my cut is taking way longer than I expected, lol.

FYI I'm about 210 lbs right now, somewhere around 12% bf. Looking to end up around 200 lbs with around 8% bf.

I swear the first 10 pounds or so I barely noticed a difference, lol. Only these last few weeks have I really been seeing some drastic changes. I don't have a camera so I'll probably wait and post pictures once I'm completely done cutting.

Worst ****ing session in quite a while. I had 0 energy, literally could have laid down and took a nap right in the middle of the gym. 350 bench was like a 3/4 rep, spotter had to help a little at the top. Weights didn't even feel that heavy really, it just felt like I had absolutely nothing in the tank to get my muscles moving. Even took 400 mg caffeine right before, didn't feel a thing from it. Not sure if it's from the lack of carbs but I barely had any pump in my chest as well which is rare.

Weighed in at exactly 200 today, should be just under 210 when I'm all carbed up and hydrated. I know my strength is still there, last weeks pressing was great and every other workout so far has been amazing considering I'm super low carb. I'm wondering if I should up the carbs on my Sunday refeed? I usually get in around 600 grams, with my cals 500 - 800 above maintenance.

Dropped the bar down a few inches on rack squats this time, made a huge difference lol. Energy was **** again today, 500 felt easy, couldn't even budge 530. Need to work on my form big time, seemed hard to get any leverage starting so low so my stance was a lot narrower and my knees were pretty far forward.

Upped my refeed yesterday to around 800 grams carbs. I looked great last night, definitely filled out a little more. This morning however I was bloated as ****, looked like crap in the gym, barely any vascularity. I've had a mild cold for a few days too, energy was poo in the gym, started getting nauseous during deads so i didn't push it very hard.

Last week I weighed about 200 flat mid-week on a doctors style scale, so I was most likely down 5+ pounds of water/glycogen. Today I step on a digital scale in the locker room and it says 200.7. The day after a refeed, wtf? Obviously the digital scale is way off but it was discouraging.
