The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Hey dude I need to do a big carb feed one of these days to try and kick start my energy systems. What do you suggest? What did you eat the other day when you took in all those carbs.

Nice lifting in here man. I agree with keith, 225 over your head is impressive.

Keith: Bodybuilding is my first priority right now, I plan on getting on stage sometime this summer. I planned on doing a powerlifting meet next month but the entrance fee was over a 100 bucks and I can't really afford that right now.

Detard: Really doesn't matter what you eat, as long as it's high in carbs and relatively low in fat. I eat ****loads of cereal, low fat ice cream, candy, pop tarts, potatoes, rice, pasta, etc.

Your workouts have been looking crazy, bro. Keep this up and you'll definitely go beyond seeing the stage this summer, you'll be seeing the podium for sure.

    Thanks guys.

There's a natty show in Flint in June and another in Detroit in July, both would work good since I live so close to Detroit. I don't know if I want to do anything before that though.

I think I have 290 in me, problem is I hit my shoulders on the last day before my refeed so energy is always sub-par. I love heavy pressing though, would really like to get 3 pps above my head sometime.

****ing killed it today. Still getting leaner each week and it feels like my strength is finally increasing nicely. No clue how much the bands took off at the bottom but the tension was pretty much negligible at the top. My elbow hasn't bothered me in quite a while now so I can really beat the **** out of my triceps again.

I know it doesn't look like I'm around 10% bf in these pics but I promise I'm not bull****ting, lol. My webcam takes extremely ****ty resolution pics so you can't really see any definition. I'm gonna have a buddy snap some pics with his iphone sometime soon after working out.

Anyways, I just wanted to post these as an update/to show how much mass I've retained during this cut. I know I haven't posted pics in a long ass time.

I believe you're 10%. Crappy quality, but I do believe it. Awesome veinage in your shoulder. Where's the posing? Last time I saw your pics (which I know was a long time ago), your posing sucked lol. You should get some pics up with a couple of standard poses and get feedback on your posing, too.

    Thanks guys.

Keith: It's hard to hit anything with my webcam because the timer is only like 3 seconds to take a pic. I have been working on my posing however, usually after my weekend workouts in the locker room. I still suck at it but it's getting better. There's a couple guys I know that have competed already, I was planning on having them help me out with posing but I failed to realize they both graduated last year. Need to find somebody to at least help me out with my back, really hard to get that **** down when you can't see it.

Yeah.. you should practice with a camera and compare your posing to pictures of the pros. Post them on here, too, and I can definitely help. I'm assuming you don't have a camera otherwise you would have used it but I'd recommend investing in a cheap(er) one if you plan on competing.

I'm a broke ass college student so I don't see myself buying a camera in the near future, lol. My cell is a piece of **** too and takes even worse pics than my webcam. Biggest problem I'm having is with lat spread, dunno why but I just can't feel/flex my right lat like I can my left.

Dude, you know you're only 35 lbs in your deadlift away from a 3x bodyweight pull?! That's gross.
