Great v-shape, props on the back development and delt tie-in.

Thanks man. I'm pretty excited for this upcoming meet. I'm to the point right now where I've been putting 5 pounds on my bench every week and I still have a lot of room to fill into my weight class. I'm trying to go beast mode with my eating and put a good 1 - 2 pounds on a week.

Yeah it's a machine. I really hate it to be honest, it's in the seated position and is awkward with heavier weight. I like lying leg curls a lot more.

Meet is in 4 weeks, so 3 more training sessions for each lift. My training partners keep bugging me to get on a short peaking routine, but I'm gonna try my own approach and stay pretty heavy up until the last week.

Your back looks sick. I can get wide but I have no thickness. You have both in spades. Nice.

How do you like that rear delt machine?

I really like the rear delt machine. It's the only way I can really target the rear delt and work it hard with decent weight.

    Sick rack pulls man.

You a big fan of the lat pull-downs? I just switched to those from chinups and pullups and I think it makes a big difference.

Yeah I love pull-downs. You can really hammer your lats with heavy weight. I go as wide as I can on the bar and lean back quite a bit, really focusing on feeling the lats.

Definitely go with your own approach leading up to the show. There's no one set way to approach things. As long as you feel good then keep running with what you're doing.

Weights are looking good thus far.

I definitely need to start doing heavy close-grip bench again once this sore muscle heals completely. I'm almost as strong with a wide grip/no arch as I am with comp grip, which means I definitely have plenty of chest strength.

I've been home for spring break this past week and decided to actually deload for once so I haven't bothered with posting my workouts. Next week I plan on testing maxes again and figuring out what my openers are going to be. Week after will be off and the meet is that following Saturday, March 19th.

Weight is around 195-200 right now. Gonna forget about cutting and lift @ 198.

"The greatest feeling you can get in a gym or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is the pump. Let's say you train your biceps, blood is rushing in to your muscles and that's what we call the pump. Your muscles get a really tight feeling like your skin is going to explode any minute and its really tight and its like someone is blowing air into your muscle and it just blows up and it feels different, it feels fantastic. It's as satisfying to me as cumming is, you know, as in having sex with a woman and cumming. So can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Haha always loved that quote. Really though, I know the pump isn't everything but I like to gauge how hard to hit muscle groups by how I'm feeling in the gym and it sucks when everything is basically numb and barely feels like you've lifted anything. I had the same problem a while back with my chest. I could do a million sets of heavy bench but I never really got a good pump in my chest. Other times it feels like my chest is going to explode the skin is so tight. Weird ****.
