The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Huge PR on rack pulls. I'll have to check back through my journal but I'm pretty sure the most I've pulled sumo before today was like 585 or less. I actually attempted 610 three times, first two I got half way up and felt like I was gonna shit my pants so I bailed. Ran to the bathroom, came back and hit it the third time no problem. My form is about 1012341324 times better than my conventional pulls, real curious as to what I could get off the floor right now sumo.

Mixed up until 585, then I went double overhand with straps. I hate having to use straps but when I pull sumo my hand placement is exactly where there's no damn knarling on the bar.

I really like going sumo on rack pulls, really hammers my lower back and hips. Has helped my lockouts a shit load. Off blocks is better if you have any, but sometimes it's a pita trying to keep the weight from rolling off.

15 pound PR on bench today. 390 felt so good, surprisingly fast. First attempt at 400 was real close, spotters grabbed the bar before I told them to so I dunno if I would have had it or not. Second attempt came off my chest fine and then it shot up towards my face. Couple more weeks and I should have it.

Thanks Coke. It's definitely exciting finally reaching this level. I don't think it'll really hit me though until the day I finally total Elite.

Not gonna bother writing up my leg workout today, it was beyond shit. I'm overdue for a refeed and it finally caught up to me. Felt like my blood sugar took a shit, light headed, absolutely no motivation. Gonna eat my ass off tonight and hopefully next session is better.

Damn that was a huge rack pull. Even thinking about 400 on the bench is nuts. That's why I hate coming in here, just makes me jealous!

Felt good today. Been curious what my wide grip max is; judging by how 365 felt I'm guessing around 375.

I'm determined to hit 400 within this next month.
