I can't recall if that's a % of BW PR for you or not? I'm thinking it is?

Energy was pretty meh today. Pass my NASM exam yesterday, excited to start training soon. I've decided to go back to Grad School in a year or two so this will give me something to do until then. Also planning on doing a meet in November with some of the guys I went to school with; I'll probably just keep my diet the same as it's been and compete at 198 again.

strong pulls.. that 4" mark is the hardest IMO. I pulled 635 conv from 4" boxes and that felt ridiculously harder than pulling off the floor, lol..

super strong for your weight, great job!!

I'm glad somebody else agrees lol. I used to tell the guys I lifted with I could pull more off the floor than I can out of the rack when it's below my knee but I'm not sure if they believed me.

Was visiting some friends for the weekend so my diet wasn't the greatest. Drinking a Fifth in 2 hours and feeling like death the next day doesn't help either.

Wait a minute, weren't you asking about training not too long ago? How long was the process for NASM?

Takes as long as you want it to. Once you pay for the test you have something like 120 days to take it; you schedule the date for the exam.

What materials did you pick up to prepare for it? Was considering getting a cert as well. What made you go though NASM over (enter other cert letters here)?

I got the package deal with the text book and study guide. Exam was a little harder than I was expecting, I passed my first try but would definitely study more if I had to do it again. I chose NASM because it's widely accepted and was recommended by multiple people I talked to. My cousin's husband used to manage multiple Golds gyms and he told me ACE and NASM are both solid beginner certs.

Sick workouts in here...I have a question..

When was the turning point for you in terms of getting insanely strong on bench? I feel like that is the only lift I can't figure out right now.

My bench went up the most when I was putting the most body weight on. There as a point in time when I was hardcore bulking that I was literally putting 5+ pounds on my max every week.

    Back and Bis

    Wide Grip Pullups
    Bw x 8
    Bw x 8
    + 35 x 5
    + 55 x 5
    + 70 x 5
    + 45 x 8
    + 25 x 10

    Behind the Back Shrugs
    135 x 10
    225 x 10
    275 x 10
    295 x 8
    225 x 15

    Barbell Curls
    Bar x 15
    95 x 5
    135 x 3
    155 x 3 + 2 assisted
    125 x 9

Nothing crazy today, wanted to give a back a little break.
