The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Prolly gonna do something fairly low dose like 300 mg a week. I'm in it more for the strength/recovery than anything else. If I don't like what I'm seeing after a couple weeks I'll up it to 500 mg.

not sure you're going to get much out of that, that's just a little above TRT dosage. It's just enough to shut you down, but not enough to get you the benefits once you're shut down.. know what i mean?

I know, you said the same thing last time I talked about running a low dose lol. I'm still gonna try it and see what happens. Can always bump it up and run a couple weeks longer if I don't like the results as I said.

Went in and did some light bullshit Wednesday and Today. Finally starting to feel better but being sick for 2 weeks has wiped me the fuck out. Schedule for work is going to be hectic for a while but I'll try to lift whenever I can. I have no idea why but I actually look better than ever right now, probably has something to do with the fact that I haven't been eating nearly as much these last couple weeks. Weight is right around 190, def sub 10% right now.

Strength is coming back, felt a lot better today compared to these last couple weeks. Found out today I'm getting the director position of our lab which is great because besides the raise, I get to work 8 - 5 as opposed to 12 hour shifts from 6 - 6. Will make getting my work-outs in a million times easier.

    Thanks Coke.

Been working a ton of hours but still making it to the gym regularly. Strength is coming back fairly quickly but I still can't get over how weak I got from being sick. First week back to the gym I dunno if I could have benched 315, even 275 felt extremely heavy. Hit 350 yesterday, would like to get back to 375 within a couple weeks.

Going to try high-bar squats for a while. Worked up to 350 today legit ATF, thighs touching calves. Biggest problem I have is keeping my balance as I'm so used to squatting low bar.

Ordered all my ancillaries today, hoping to get some test coming soon. I'm hoping to get some good pics taken before I start my cycle, perhaps with a real camera and not my phone lol.

Trying to get my body used to pulling every week, nothing crazy just wanted to get some reps in. Been feeling much stronger lately. All the bars in my gym are those stupid ass thick ones so pulling fucking sucks. Have to use straps with anything more than a couple reps.

It's actually pretty decent, besides the bars. There's a big-ass room separate from the rest of the gym with just free-weights. DB's go up to 135. There's a few dudes that I see doing some pl stuff regularly but nothing very impressive so far.

Bench seems so pathetic compared to what it used to be; it's slowly coming back however. Seem to be making about 10 pound jumps each week.

Starting to love high-bar squats but the shit destroys my traps. When I bring my arms in closer to bunch my traps up my arms cramp after about 1 rep. Not cutting any corners with form/depth, my butthole is almost touching the floor. One of my old training partners did nothing but high bar for a few months and added quite a bit to his low bar/comp stance max, so I'm gonna do these for a while and see what happens. Might try 405 next week, 375 was smokes.

Already got a meet I'm looking at in March, should be right at the end of my cycle by then.

Bro you should do the meet in March, it's the APF state meet. APF and USAPL are the most frequent feds in Michigan. Go to powerliftingwatch.com, click "powerlifting meets" on the left and search for meets in Michigan. I'll post a link to the entrance form once it's up.
