I think that might be a solid idea. You have been gaining weight at a rapid pace. Then again, that's expected with what you're doing right now.

How far away are you from the comp? And you are trying to stay under 220? How high could you realistically be over your potential contest weight?

Meet is about 4 weeks away. I'd like to be right around 225, realistically I could probably be 230 - 235 and still make weight. I am noticing a little bit of bloat. I'm going to start using arimidex 2 weeks out, should help me drop a few pounds of water.

When I grow up, I wanna be just as strong as you.

    ...

    Oh wait...

Seriously, 375 x 4? Wtf man. If you competed 198's, you would probably set some records somewhere.

Thanks man. I have a few state records already but that doesn't really mean much. Would really love to set a national record.

    Squats
    135 x 10
    225 x 5
    315 x 2
    405 x 1
    ~Wraps~
    455 x 1
    505 x 1
    525 x 1

    High Bar ATF Squats
    335 x 1
    365 x 1
    405 x 1
    415 x 2
    405 x 2

    Strict Barbell Curls
    Bar x 15
    95 x 5
    125 x 6
    115 x 7
    95 x 8
    95 x 8

Not much volume today, just wanted to hit some heavy shit since I took last week off. Dunno why but warm-ups felt like shit. Really need to get this fucking squat moving; bench and dead are definitely on target for getting my 1600 total but I really need to squat around 550.

APF Raw American Records for Juniors 220

    Total - 1570
    Squat - 573
    Bench - 419
    Dead - 606

I will be gunning for all of these, although I probably won't come close in the squat. Pretty sure I could walk into the gym and pull 610+ right now as it is. Bench will be real close.

    Thanks coke.

Did some medium intensity shoulder work today, didn't want to push things too hard as I'll be benching on Thursday.

Tried out close grip bench first, worked up to 275 and I started feeling that spot in my pec that I injured a couple weeks ago so I called it quits. I have no idea why it bothers me so much with close grip but not comp or wide grip. Shit is irritating.

Lol. Thanks Jake, means a lot.

    Wide Grip Lat Pulldown
    120 x 10
    160 x 5
    200 x 5
    250 x 5
    280 x 8
    260 x 8

    Deadlift (no belt)
    225 x 5
    315 x 5
    405 x 2
    495 x 1
    545 x 1
    565 x 2

    Sumo Deadlift (no belt)
    525 x 4

    Seated DB Curls
    40 x 10
    50 x 8
    50 x 7
    50 x 7

    Hammer Curls
    60 x 8

Gym was fucking packed so I had to do pulldowns first waiting for some floor space to pull. Hit my target for this deads anyways so whatever I guess. Definitely a big PR without a belt.

There's a chick that I see all the time in my gym that competes, pretty hot but a little manly looking, can def tell she's on something after hearing her voice. Her husband used to compete but I think he's kind of a tard because he said he had a ton of injuries and quit. Anyways, she was training a fitness competitor today, oh lawd so much fucking want. Never seen a chick in that kind of shape in person.

Started warming up on bench today and I could tell right away something was up. Something in my armpit felt really tight, no idea wtf it is, feels like my bicep. I can't even feel anything when I stretch my chest and shoulders, but I can feel it instantly when I start to unrack the bar on bench. Warmed up to 345 and it felt fucking terrible; called it quits. So fucking pissed. Chest feels great but I couldn't do anything to work it. Tried different grips, tried some light flys, every time I had the same tightness/pain right in my damn armpit. I can't even find any tender/sore spots when I poke around in that area, absolutely no clue what's causing this.

Maybe some therapy like Deep tissue or ART would help? Sounds like you've been having niggles lately.

I know they can be expensive as hell but I'm really considering getting deep tissue massages every once in a while.

Any idea if ART would be covered by insurance? My parents have a really good policy and I've been meaning to take advantage of it before I switch over to the policy through my new job.

My insurance covers ART. Many do you just gotta find a chiro that accepts insurance. I'd call your insurance or search your provider network.
