It sucks, but I swear it pays off in the end. Obviously I wouldn't advise doing heavy ass squats right after ME deads, but 400 is only about 70% of my max so it was really on the lighter side. I feel better, and feel like I recover faster when I get into the gym more often. There have been plenty of days where I wake up feeling like shit on a Saturday or Sunday, and after forcing my ass to the gym in the morning I feel great the rest of the day.

Wasn't planning on using wraps but I had a little pain in my right knee so decided to throw them on and hit something heavy. Pretty rough session overall, lower back is still not happy from the ME deads a few days ago.

Can tell the little bit of close grip work lately has really helped, second rep with 430 was pretty slow but I was able to grind it out without the spotter. Right tricep was crying to me afterwards, lol. Been having a little tendonitis; can't do any extension type movements or it just screams at me, but oddly enough heavy close grip bench feels completely fine.

Weight is already up to about 212 fully carbed. Going to finish this week out with higher cals and then do a mini 4-5 week cut leading up to the meet.

Most I've ever squatted without wraps. Was slow, but felt pretty good overall.

Going by my tested maxes to date, I need to put about 3 pounds on each of my lifts, every week until the meet, to have a crack at 1700. Not easy, but definitely do-able. I know when I'm really rolling with my training I can put an easy 5 pounds on my bench and squat every week, deadlift is really going to be the deciding factor. I always seem to make super slow progress with deads, and then hit a massive PR at meets.

Wanted 245 x 4 on military but wasn't even close to a 4th rep. I've been using a thicker bar for all my pressing for this past year or so; today I grabbed one of the normal 45 lb bars not thinking it would make much of a difference, but it really threw me off.

Came across the cuban press today when I was looking up rotator cuff exercises. I've never directly worked them before, so I want to try and start hitting them once a week after I bench. Really liked it after trying it. In a nutshell, it's an upright row till about chest level, and then you externally rotate your shoulders till the bar is above your head.

Pretty happy with the pulling today considering I squatted 560 just a few days ago. Form was better, I'm getting a lot more leg drive off the floor. Had a pretty good pump in my hams and quads after the last set which usually doesn't happen.

Hit exactly what I wanted to on bench today. Still having some tendonitis in my right elbow; also still don't understand why it actually feels better the closer my grip gets. I could really feel it on the lockouts with 410, but on the close grip sets there was no pain at all.

Started my cut this week. I can tell taking the last few weeks off from dieting has made a difference, fucking starving 24/7 now.

On the kinks. I might try cubans with dumbbells this week. The movement seemed just a little awkward with a bar.

Awesome sessions in here man keep it up. I've been in your position with the tendonitis and bringing my grip in (still benched wide at the time for shirted competition) and oddly enough DB hammer curls helped alot.

Thanks! I do DB hammer curls once in a while, I'll throw them in more often these next few weeks to see if it makes a difference.

Felt great warming up, but my working set with squats felt terrible. First rep I can forward on my toes and that threw everything off. Still banged out what I wanted rep wise, but form was pretty ugly. Front squats felt awesome, buried them hams to calves and 325 felt light as hell. I should be good for 10 - 12 with that weight but my endurance is embarrassingly bad. I start getting winded and light headed long before my legs actually give out.
