The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Nice benching man. I think a few months back I told you that I thought you and a teammate of mine would be a pretty sick matchup. He just cut to 198 for the first time this past weekend and hit a monster total. Check it out:

Yeah I remember, I was curious who it was. I remember watching this guy at RUM 7. Do you know how much weight he had to cut? Looks huge for 198. Epic total.

Still some strong work on the military presses and close grip!!! I believe I asked you before but I can't remember, where do you normally grip the bar for comps and close grip bench?

Close grip is thumbs just touching the smooth. Comp grip is harder to explain, but it's somewhere in between the smooth and the outer rings.

First time benching over 450 since my injury a couple months ago. 465 was a lot slower than it should be, but I was still pretty beat up from maxing out close grip 4 days ago so I guess I shouldn't be too upset. I think I'm going to hit some heavy singles for a few weeks and slowly add 5 pounds each time.
