The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Hey built

I have decided to do your routine. It seems like a solid routine. But it looks like every muscle group gets hit twice except the chest. I would like to get two workouts for chest as well. Do you have any suggestions. BTW is this a good routine for bulking up and gaining strength. Thanks

    Okay, patience young jedi ...

My next Get Built deals with this very issue.

Start the programme as written. When the November issue comes up, you can see the tweaks and use whatever suggestions you like.

Meanwhile, on Hamstring dominant day, do weighted dips as 5x5 and one other chest exercise as a 3x12 instead of the direct tricep work. Tris will get a hit anyway, and they get it again on shoulder day.

    How's that?

Built, when I first read your routine i had the same thought.

But looking at OH Press/ military press (flexion of the shoulder) the pec major plays a huge role in this. i'm thinking this is the main reason for the original routine.

So, why change it? New info or just a different ideas?

Just a bit more direct pec stimulation. A lot of tricep work hits pecs anyway. This way you're just hitting up pec a bit more than triceps on day four.
