The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Getting Serious

I've been weightlifting for basketball for about a year and a half. Now I have decided to become serious and I am planning on taking whey to get more bulk.
    I am 6'1" and i weigh 165 lbs.
I am only 15 years old.
I am currently doing 3 sets of 8 at 170 lbs on bench
Here are my pics of me right now:

Man I wish I had this site when I was 15. I looked a lot like you, worked out like nuts, and didn't gain any weight. Now I know all I had to was eat!

    Best of luck man.

Well in basketball, i have to run ALOTT. Three times a week I run what is called latter 9. Latter 1 is where you sprint once up the court. Latter 3 is where you sprint up down and then up. You keep on doing this untill you get to latter 9 (only odd numbers) and then you go back down. I also weightlift in the weightroom 3 times a week with circuit training.

I eat a pretty well balanced diet and right now i am focusing more on protein.

Agreed, you've got really good genetics for this - don't waste them by eating shat all day Read up here and get some calories in you and you'll fill out in a huge way.

Taking whey powder won't magically put size on you... You've got to eat above maintenance. Which means you should know exactly what goes into your body. Do some reading in the diet and nutrition section. Check out www.fitday.com

carbs are much more important than protein when bulking, id actually even say fats are just as important as protein too

imo, a good bulking diet should be somewhat like 50% carbs / 25% proteins / 25% fats
