The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Embarrassing Gym Stories

    Hello everyone,

I did a search to see if a thread like this had been done before, but couldn't find anything. I figured the topic may bring some laughs.

The catalyst for this tread isn't a great story, but it nearly was:

I was doing squats today, and was doing the last rep of my last set. I was going for an extra inch of depth today on all my reps, so needless to say I was testing the critical strength levels of my boxers and shorts. At the bottom of my last rep, just as I'm trying to motivate myself to get the hell up.... "RIIIIIIIIIIIP!"

All I have to say is, no matter how cool you think you are, USE PINS! Without them I would have been an open faced Mike sandwich with 225 pounds of iron for bread.

Back the ripping - it got the attention of those around me, but fortunately it was just my boxers! I got away with one there, and it's taught me to where more elastic underwear!

Surely there are stories out there better than mine... let's hear them!

What did you search for? I found 10+ threads in 30 seconds by just searching for gym stories. In fact a few locked ones telling the poster to search as there is tons of threads like this already.

    I searched for "embarrassing"....

Farting, ah yes. All too common, yet it never gets old.

I must say farting is the worst I've had, but it wasn't just a little squeak, but more of a too much protein powder and milk fart.

Those usually squeak out when I'm doing a heavy lift (squat, DL, bench.)

I've actually ripped quite a few pairs of boxers, but it's not anything embarassing, just annoying. I hate buying new boxers, and I hate that they don't make boxers for someone with a small waist and thick quads :/

I have some Perry Ellis boxers that are elastic (not tight) and really comfortable. You can find them 'cheap' at Marshall's/TJ Max for like $7/pair.

I shot out a thick wad of phlegm while doing deadlifts once. It looked like it was on slow mo too and made a splat when it hit the floor. When i looked around, this girl looked like she was about to throw up ..

I was showing a group of kids how to squat and I did ATF squat just to know how deep you could go, Well I was wearing jeans and rip right up the middle, got up turned around and said "2nd rule, never wear jeans when squatting"

    Once curledin the power rack...

    No one saw me though.
