The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

What Kind of Dog Is This?

I have a dog that is about 5.5 years old now, his name is snickers and we got him at an animal shelter when he was just 10 weeks old. Hes an amazing dog, and I encourage everyone thinking about getting a pet to visit their local animal shelter cuz its cheaper ($75) and you can really help out an animal in need. He was only I think 4 lbs when we got him, now hes up to 25-30. So basically we have no idea how snickers ended up at the shelter or any of his story other than that they just got him in at the shelter when we got there. So the biggest mystery is we don't know what kind of dog he is, and all the shelter could tell us was that he was part pug. We have heard many suggestions on what he is mixed with: pitbull, dauschund(sp?), chow(cuz purple tounge), lab, and many others. Its something that bugs me to know cuz hes such a great dog and I would just love to know what he is, I hear they can do blood tests but I also hear they're expensive. So I'll ask you guys for your opinions, what do you guys think he is???

Looks like a pit/lab/beagle/something to me!

Strangely, this looks like a yellow lab/dachshund mix. I hope the lab was the female.

It'll be a beagle crossed with a long haired corgi or something. I have beagle/pug cross and they have the EXACT same face!! I'll try to find a picture and post it up.

LOL, we've thought similar things too, cuz we can't figure out cuz he looks like a mini lab but they say hes part pug so not sure how that works. But anyways thanks for the replies and heres a few more pics:

Edit: Workhorse: I've heard Corgi before a lot too, very interested in seeing that picture.

Last picture shows him exactly lol....

rbar..my aunt breeds them... I'm 99% sure it's beagle/corgi. Once I find a pic, you'll be amazed at how close the face looks.

These are really crappy... I'm going to email my dad and have him send me some pictures of him. I can't find any ones of his face etc. These are digital pictures of actual photographs so they're pretty crappy. I'll try to post up a couple more in a day or two.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.
Its nose is too stubby and face to smooshed to be a purebread beagle, but it does have the length and overall size of one.

I agree with that. Looks like it's mostly lab/dachsund, but it's probably just 100% mutt.

Definately not a puggle... most pug cross' inherit the curly tails, this dog has the 'otter' like tail which is representative of the labs. Im not saying it is a lab. Frankly, I think youa re dealing with a mutt that has a lot of different breeds, however, definately a fraction daschund. HE has the body type for it.

I actually saw a puggle for the first time last weekend. This dog looks a lot like it, but has a bit of a longer body. But no, not ALL puggles have curly tails, I will agree with most.

If he is part lab, make sure to get his hips checked just incase.
Face it: biceps are the muscle that classifies you as a muscle man.
