The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Since history is my primary area of study and I love ancient Greek stories like the battle of Thermopylae I've been waiting for this movie for years now. Is anyone else anxious to see this?

It looks very different for a war movie...the art style, at least. Should be an interesting film.

Ya, it's based on Frank Miller's work. The same guy that wrote Sin City.

I saw the trailer and this can be the best movie of all times. Expect for the fact that new movies lack the magic that old school movies had..with the characters and the great acting..but the scenery and the battles will be amazing.

Ofcourse the fact that they present spartans, africans and so on speaking fluent upperclass british is also a bit weird and somethings producers seem to ignore.
A big thanks to all my friends in the USA, I am deeply grateful for your hospitality and kindness.

Oh, how I love the work of Frank Miller. It's a really good thing he's got such a large catalog of work because they can keep going for many years with stuff he's already done, leaving him to keep working on new stuff.

Warner Bros should do something with his Dark Knight Returns stories. Those comics were the shiz. Batman with lethal force...w00t!

They made a movie on this already call the 300 spartians. It's a pretty amazing movie and there is also a book I think it's call the burning gates or somthing along those lines.

If the movie is half as amazing as the history behind it, this will be a blockbuster.

I own the DVD for the original '300 Spartans'. If you can get past the British accents and diction it's a great flick. Battles are well choreographed, actors are good, cinematography is pretty good as well.

A bit low budget and the fact that it was made in the 60s shines through here and there but overall I enjoyed it.

This is definitely a story that could use a remake. Classic tale of heroism, sacrifice, and honour.

I also saw the preview for this when going to see "The Departed". I think I started to salivate watching the preview. It looks amazing. I liked Sin City well enough, though I know very little of Frank Miller's work.

I also read Gates of Fire. Made me cry. Incredible stuff. I just hope it is as brutal and gut-wrenching as it should be.

    *pees pants in anticipation*

EDIT: I just realized that my screen name was inspired by the events at Thermopylae.

Looks really cool. The lead actor (Gerard Butler) got ripped as hell for his role.

Here's a video about their training for the movie:

I just watched the trailer and looks like some randome stuff in it, but I bet that was a pretty accurate portrale of warriors, so blood hunger and wanting battle.

Looks like a highly stylized, loosely based on reality, fantasy battle movie. Should be good.

Ya, it is. Spartan boys were sent to live in Agoge, what amounted to be barracks, and raised by the state to be warriors. When Leonidas was choosing the Spartans that would accompany him he picked men who already had sons who were old enough to start taking a more responsible place in the household and he told his wife to marry another man and have good kids. So they were pretty sure they were going to die there. The only real shocker was the Thespians that stayed to fight to the death with them.
