i am going to join the us marines next year i was wondering what to look forward to at basic training and i was wondering if anyone could give me a marine workout so i can get ready for it.
Start doing lots of push-ups, dead hang pull-ups, crunches, mountain climbers, and running. Go backpacking once in a while, this will help you build up to the road marches. Work on your swimming once in a while too. Aside from that, the rest of it is mental.

It will help, but from my experience (e.g. going through Marine Corps boot camp in 2000), the above is what he's really going to need. The others can help, but the main thing he'll want to work on is the above. The physical part's the "easy" part anyways, the mental part is the toughest.
