I mix it up. An hour after my shake, it could be anything from eggs and oatmeal to big tuna sandwich with PB. The bar down the street has chicken fajitas on Wednesday nite for a steal, so me and the woman pack them in. They're GREAT!!!!

Oats+protein has been my staple for ever. Now that I'm bulking I'm mixing it up. Yogurt+berries+protein. Tortillas+yogurt. Cereal+milk+protein.

Shouldn't you have low GI foods after dextrose/maltodextrin (high GI, simple carbs)?

well i usually have creatine (w/ dextrose) or powdered gatorade right after my workout.
then i have a low GI carb/protein meal 1-2 hrs later.

    is that ok?

You want protein and carbs right after. So add some protein in with after workout.

I eat lots of cereal bars, porridge and white potato(sweet potato if I can get it). White potato and tuna is my afterworkout meal at the moment.

An 8 oz glass of chocolate soymilk with a scoop of ON whey mint chocolate. It's like rewarding myself for lifting by having dessert. (23 grams carbs, 30 grams protein, 5 g fat).

White potatos are fairly high GI. Sweet potatos are low GI.

Protein will lower the GI of any carb it's eaten with. Fat will even more so.

Don't sweat this kind of stuff too much. Plenty of guys, and girls, got big long before anyone had any idea what protein was.

Scoop of nitrean in milk. Piece of bread. Creatine.

I think I stopped worrying about GI post-workout when I realized that it really, really, really doesn't matter.

I usually just kill what's left of my workout shake (whey/dextrose), and then eat a big ass bowl of whole wheat pasta. And sometimes a beer.

That, too. I don't exactly have an anxiety attack if I'm out of soymilk and have a scoop of whey in water PWO.
