    wbb3 routine question

I am ready to start routine 3, but have some questions understanding the reps. For example..."Dumbbell incline press 2x6, 10". Does that mean do 2 sets of 6 rep's and then 2 sets of 10 reps? Or 2 sets total, 1 with 6 reps and 1 with 10 reps? Thanks.

It means a total of 2 sets...each set being somewhere between 6 and 10 reps.

It means that you should avoid that routine. If you want I'll make you a nice routine that will boost your gains. Let me know if interested.

Thanks for the reply.....but I am unsure of your answer.....

WBB3 says..."For example, in week one you'll be alternating between 6 and 10 repititions. In the second week, it is suggested that you use 8 and 12 repititions."

i read it as one set at 6reps and the second set is 10 reps. The next week you do one set 8 and one set 12.

ddegroff - thanks. that is what i am thinking also. but i wanted to make sure because it could have meant 2 sets of 6 rep's and 2 sets of 10 rep's one week......then 2 sets of 8 and 2 sets of 12 the next. so 4 sets total.

I am also curious as to why i should avoid this routine. thanks

if it does mean 1 set of 6 and 1 set of 10 (for the first week).....I could assume that you would be working with 2 different weights...correct? adjust the first set so that i can only get 6 reps and adjust the second set to allow me to go to 10. does this sound right? thanks

Yeah, if your pushing yourself for 6reps then that weight would be too heavy for 10.
