    Behind-Neck Presses = SORE Delts!

Wow after training for 6 years or so there are only a FEW times where my delts were really seriously aching badly. Today is one of those times.. my ENTIRE delt routine yesterday was 2 sets of BTN presses. My side and front delts are hurting SO BADLY this morning... DAMN! Feels good though they havnt been sore in so long.

Yo how you doing bro? Yeah I used to do BTN presses back in the day but I havnt done them since. At first it was a little awkward but after I got into the groove again it was great.

You're sore because you haven't done them before.

I have done them before. I did them for around 8-12 months on a weekly basis. Then I stopped to switch things up with dumbbell presses.

You probably would have sore delts if you have done them in front of the head as well just because you haven't done them in a while and you would be safer...

BTN presses are a bit harder on the lateral and posterior delts believe it or not.

If you'll notice while you are doing BTN presses your posterior and lateral delts have to contract really hard just to keep the weight behind your head.
