There is USAPL meet Dec.7-9 in Aston, PA. Anyone competing?
It will be my 1st competition. How soon should I lighten my workouts?

Keep it up until 2 weeks before. Then work up to your openers 2 weeks out. 1 week out, do no work (maybe just stretching and VERY light lifting if you feel the need). Get lots of rest.

Getting lots of rest is the most important thing. I remember my ex-coach made me train way too much, and he didn't give me much rest! By the time the competition arrived, my body didn't feel fully rested, that pissed me off! I fired his ass right after the competition!
