Just curious - for the people who love doing back the most....why? I'd like to hear what aspect of exercising the back or the effects of it stands out to you.
I ask because back is prob my least favourite.

To be honest I'm really not bothered about my back. I work my back pretty hard, but only because it promotes muscle growth over the whole body and also I don't want to end up with an uneven bodyshape. But in itself, I really aint too fussed.
Mostly I want big legs, arms, chest and shoulders.

A big back is what separates a real bodybuilder (or powerlifter) from the pretenders. Also, if you want to be functionally strong as well as look good, you need a big, strong back.Originally Posted by JConrad

I like to do chest, biceps, and legs. Benchpress, curls, and squats. My favorite.

But the point is I will have a big back (some day in the distant future) because I do the excercises and put in the hard work. Really have been enjoying standing bb military presses lately. In the next 12 - 18 months, I want to get to 225. That would be fun to push up 5 times.
deads are by far my favorite workout. if deadlifting everyday would build your whole body up i would do it and not just completely wear you out i would do it.
I'd say chest, been benching for years.. before I even knew anything about routines and all.
ARMS!! I love to have huge arms, flex on demand and show all types of definition, it's so damned fun I can't get enough of it.
