The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Craving and agitation to lift

Ive felt cravings before, usually at the most random times to just lift.

But about an hour ago, I had a fit.

I got very agitated, very aggressive, and very energetic. I needed a dumbell really badly, i was bouncing up and down, and my body felt primed for war, or picking heavy things up, I could feel blood pumping through my body, my heart rate was up, I felt very edgey, and ready to just... do something. It was very weird, it felt like my entire body was itchy, and the only way to scratch was to lift.

all I could think of was deadlifts, just kept visualising the bar and me picking the damn thing up. Trying to feel the strain on my arms as the weight pulled me back down to Earth.

I settled for picking up my bed several times, a 100 pushups, plus I body squatted till it began to hurt.

Ive calmed down now, but that was just weird.

Sometimes Ive woken up in the middle of the night with the craving, but nothing like this before.

If I miss a morning session, Im usually very cranky at school, and likely to snap at anyone who talks to me...

wtf is up with that, its like I need to lift to keep sane... guess thats not a bad thing is it?
Being a strong teenager means nothing.

My wrists hurt, but some people don't have wrists to be sore. My knees have tendinitis, but some people don't have legs to get tendinitis in. I seem to be going backwards with training, yet some people can't even walk let alone lift 400 pounds on a daily basis.

Dust out the vagina, and keep on lifting.

You my friend, need to find something constructive to do. Watch a movie, play a video game and unless its like 4 AM then chill with your woman or something.

From the majority of your posts, I'd say you were conceived in a barbell plate factory. The gung ho attitude surely doesn't hurt, but bro theres alot more to life!

you could always learn to knit- its very calming
Way down this road, in a gym far away, a young man was once heard to say, "I've repped high and I've repped low, No matter what I do my legs won't grow."

He tried leg extensions, leg curls, and leg presses, too. Trying to cheat these sissy workouts he'd do. From the corner of the gym where the big men train, Through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain.

Where the big iron rides high and threatens lives, Where the noise is made with big forty fives. A deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees, A very big man with legs like trees.

Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack, Chalking his hands and monstrous back, Said "Boy stop lying and don't say you've forgotten, Trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN"

Your not wrong! I'd rather sew though, letting my own pants out and taking them in again has been a monotonous task for me, I can do it blindly now..

I get this craving at times, actually right now is about right. I'm kind of antzy right now and it would feel great to go and do some bench. I get the craving to get in the gym especially on off days, though I don't because I don't want to overtrain. Your feeling is legit. I do have hobbies and stuff, but I sit at a computer all day at the job, so it could have something to do with that too.
    Too cool for school.

I feel like I being ridiculed.

Hobby... I got plenty, I play several instruments.

Girl got one of those, social life, yeeep thats going pretty good to.

Porn... I think Im the only 14 year old on the planet who doesent get that many urges... weird I know. Anf I do, shes more than willing to help, otherwise I just hold onto her.

Job? I work 5 nights a week, Im saving up for a power rack and other equip.

Watch a movie, I struggle to stay alert for 30 seconds, video game, I end up breaking the disk.

Theres plenty to my life, I live and love my life to the full everyday.

I was just asking if anyone else had ever felt like this before, someone once said something about endorphins or something.... anyone know?

Dude... can I say one thing.. and again, im just pointing out what I assumed to be very obvious.
    YES YOU ARE BEING RIDICULED

If you thought you werent then your quite silly.

In all honesty, you clearly dont have THAT much of a life... yes endorphins are released when you work out but they are not enough to cause a physical addiction and if this is a serious problem for you then more then likely you have a condition called excersize bulimia (you can look this up) but im not suggesting you do because this seems more like a plea for attention on a forum then a serious problem.. IF it was then you wouldnt have posted on here that you thought it was a problem. Relax or else your going to die from a heart attack at 20, weightlifting is as much about rest as it is about lifting.

Sorry if you found this offensive.

Haha! Who the hell are you to tell someone else they dont have a life?! Grow up.

To the OP, if you get the urge on off days just try to chillax and listen to some music, drink a herbal tea or something to calm you down...and whack one out...this is going to do the job without a doubt.

You really need to calm down.

Find something else to keep yourself going, honestly if you have all this energy im telling you that your not working hard enough. Feeling the strain of an intense workout is fullfilling but I'm not going to pop wood over it; I wait and concern it when it comes up.

At the rate your going I think your going to get tired of it and stop lifting, it needs to become just something you do and not a main concern. Worrying about it and obessing is going to get old when you look everyday and don't see the gains you want; its going to lead to alot of headaches and mental strain in the future. Theres nothing wrong with enthusiasm but you really are going all out and I promise maybe not anytime soon but your going to get tired.
