The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Missed day of BGB

Hi, I missed my workout yesterday, Workout A from Builts BGB routine. I have missed a workout before also. What bothers me most about this particular workout is the fact it included chest and this is my weakest area.

Should I include yesterdays workout with my squats and curls today? or should I do yesterdays workout today and todays workout tomorrow?

    cheers

    Karl

First, dont stress out over it. This is prob worse than missing a workout. I would yesterdays workout today and todays workout tomorrow.

Ok thanks for that, I guess I was thinking about it too much, When I can't eat because of work it really grates my nerves because I feel like its preventing progress.

I need to relax sometimes, I have only been training 6 weeks and I often forget that and think damn it hurry up muscles, where are you

honestly its not that big of a deal. if you really feel you need to do your chest day tomrmow then do it. if not then i would just add in an extra few sets of bench at the end of your workout tomrmow.

Just got back from Gym and set myself a new PR on bench

    132-lbs/60-kgs

Have always done chest on Monday evening after work and the place is rammed like a theme park with queues for the bench (but strangely enough not for the squat rack), today was like a ghost town.

I have work in 30 minutes

    Cheers

I know it is upsetting but in the long run just like one workout won't make you big it won't make you small either. So I would not sweat it.

Mondays, in my experience, are the busiest days at the gym. If at all possible, I take Monday as a rest day.

Don't ask for a lighter load. Ask for a stronger back.

Whenever I miss a day I usually try to find a way to get in a few sets of obliques and scissor kicks as a punishment...or I'll eat broken glass. Choose one!

    mmmm broken glass, my favorite

Whilst on the subject of missing sessions, work was an absolute female dog and I finished late again. I am far too shattered to make the journey right now.

I have two days off now though, I get a chance to kick some ass and I'll shift my workouts by another day.
